The IdF Advanced Adapter for HP-UX enables any identity infrastructure to support and manage your HP-UX user security policy, profiles, identity and other resources. The adapter reduces administration time, increases operational efficiency and reduces security risk. It is very important to note that the IdF solution provides the mechanism to retrieve critical data from the HP-UX target system required that would meet corporate and regulatory polices.
The Advanced Adapter for HP-UX functions as a trusted virtual administrator for the HP target system, performing tasks, such as creating IDs, adding authorization groups to IDs, and resetting passwords. The Advanced Adapter for HP-UX enables use of any HP-UX OS to be used as a managed (TARGET) resource or as an authoritative (TRUSTED) source of user information for your application or Identity Infrastructure.
The IdentityForge (IdF) HP-UX Advanced Adapter provides full support for managing HP-UX OS Enterprise system accounts. Utilizing the IdF LDAP Gateway, built on JAVA technology along with a LDAPv3 standard protocol interface, will allow any standard LDAPv3 Client or LDAP Identity Management Adapter to seamlessly integrate HP-UX user and group management functionality.
The IdF Advanced Adapter Series is comprised of a HP-UX Pioneer provisioning agent and the IdF LDAPv3 Gateway Server. This allows the Advanced Adapter the ability to provide a rich feature set for supporting provisioning and reconciliation.
